Walesboro is a small community located in Bartholomew County, Indiana, United States. It is situated on State Road 11, approximately 8 miles south of Columbus and 7 miles north of Seymour. The community was established in the early 1800s and named after Wales, the ancestral home of some of its early settlers.
Walesboro has a population of approximately 800 residents and is primarily a residential area with a few small businesses and amenities. It is home to the Walesboro Airport, a small general aviation airport that offers flight training and aircraft maintenance services.
The community is also situated near the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge, which is a popular destination for bird watching, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Additionally, Walesboro is part of the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation, which provides education to students in the area.
